Welcome to Diaspora Connect. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Diaspora Connect website, subdomains, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Scope of Services
Diaspora Connect provides a secure multi-channel platform connecting diaspora sponsors with verified service providers (including freelancers and real estate agents) in their home countries. We facilitate secure communications, payments, and milestone custody (escrow) services.
2. Account Registration and Security
- You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Service Providers must submit valid identity documents and business licenses as requested during the onboarding process.
- You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and PINs.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
3. User Conduct and Compliance
You agree to use the Platform in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws, including but not limited to financial regulations, tax requirements, and data protection laws (such as NDPR and GDPR).
4. Payment and Escrow Custody
All financial transactions on the Platform are processed through secure integration partners. Payments for real estate or contract milestones are placed in a secure custody account (Escrow) and released only upon satisfactory milestone completion or explicit authorization by the funding party. Platform commissions and fees are deducted at the point of disbursement as specified on the Platform.
5. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design system, code, logo, text, graphics, and visual elements, is the exclusive property of Diaspora Connect and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
6. Limitation of Liability
Diaspora Connect acts as an intermediary connecting sponsors and providers. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services rendered by independent providers, nor do we accept liability for project delays or disputes outside the scope of our escrow mediation process.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or violates applicable financial regulations.
8. Amendments
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform after updates are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
